About

Emily obtained a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Health and Fitness Studies from Simon Fraser University.

Her background as a competitive dancer influences her approach to treatment of posture and movement dysfunction. She uses an integrative, evidence-based treatment approach that considers all body systems.

Emily is continuously studying to further understand the human body and health conditions. Her areas of additional training include:

  • Assessment and treatment of dancers and artistic athletes

  • Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

  • Bike fitting

  • Bobath concept neurological rehabilitation

  • Dry needling (anatomical acupuncture & intramuscular stimulation)

  • Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (Graston Technique® Provider)

  • Vestibular rehabilitation

  • Yoga (YTT 200)

Emily founded Movement For Life Physiotherapy with the objective of helping people achieve a state of health and wellness such that they can maintain lifelong participation in the work, life, and recreational activities that they love.
